After gutting this antique Ropp’s Commercial Calculator book for all of it’s grungy pages, I was compelled to make it into a pocket-sized traveler’s notebook. The size, colors, and typography from this 1924 book were vintage perfection now upcylced to a new purpose. Filled with found vintage papers and loaded with loose genuine ephemera pieces for embellishing the pages. See more images below:

Bohemian-inspired handmade journal crafted from found papers, fabrics, and fibers is 7.5″ tall by 5.25″ wide with a 2″ spine. Throughout the 4 signatures and 162 pages, there are plenty of spaces to document your journey to artistic freedom and places to stash keepsakes. Forty-five loose pieces of vintage and handmade ephemera and more than 10 dangling charms and clips decorate this journal along with the removable tassel made from ribbon, yarn, beads, and charms. The cover features metal corners, a nameplate with a removable label, and a button to hold the elastic closure.
